The contemporary Ivalo container is mouth blown by skilled glassblowers. The rim of the glass container is melted with a flame to achieve a rounded soft rim. A hole is cut in the wooden lid through which a hand-knotted leather toggle is tied. The natural ash is sourced from sustainably-managed European forests and certified by the Forest Stewardship Council.
Care Instructions:
Hand wash the glass in warm soapy water and dry with a soft cloth. Clean the wood and leather with a soft brush or damp cloth. Do not leave immersed in water or place in a dishwasher. Allow to dry naturally.
