The champagne flute is mouth blown by skilled glassblowers. The fine optic effect is achieved by making impressions in the glass while it is still molten. The fine stem is drawn from the bowl of the glass and the foot is applied by hand. Finally the rim is fire-polished to achieve a smooth finish.
